Overview

The park is located on the site of a former US Army Corps of Engineers lock and dam. The highlight of the park is the Chilo Lock 34 Visitor Center and Museum, which offers three floors of exhibits and interactive displays focusing on the history of the Ohio River and locks and dams. After exploring the visitor center, guests can go aboard the Jennie Wade, a replica of an 1800's era steamboat that sits in the park and also offers many historical pictures of the river. A 1.5 acre wetland is located in the park, providing great wildlife watching opportunities. The park is adjacent to Crooked Run Nature Preserve.
